    Hello Hello!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted on here.  I figure it's about time to post something.  This one's for you Pap Pap!  I need to plan a time to come take you out and visit for a while.  I still owe you a Birthday dinner!  The boys school pictures were taken last week so I'll have those mailed out to family and friends (if they want them) as soon as I get them.

So....it's been a busy few months around here!  Halloween was fun as always though it was wet and rainy.  I ended up being a drenched fairy but the boys didn't even notice the rain!  Sam was a mummy and Adam was a clone trooper but would not wear the mask.  I told him it would be a problem but he insisted on having that costume anyway.  That's Adam for you.  Won't listen to me at all.

I just got back today from Faerie Con 2009.  It's a convention for all things fairy.  I figured that it would be fun to dress up and go to masquerade balls.  And it was!  I went with my friend Marie and the first night was the Good Fairy ball where I was actually bad and drank myself till I was totally smashed.  I woke with the worst hangover and ended up not drinking one drop at the Bad Fairy ball!  I'm all backwards!  I'll post some pictures.  I'm soooo going back next year.  It was great!

So now back to normalcy and tommorrow is Monday...yuck....Oh well.  Christmas is coming and I love that!  Guess that's all for now!
    February 11

    The new me.

So if you didn't already know I went in for surgery on February 2nd.  I had a full tummy tuck, liposuction and a breast lift.  I didn't add or subtract anything from the boobs.  I just had them put back where they are supposed to be.  Everything went great.  I have a super fantastic wonderful plastic surgeon in Bethesda by the name of Dr. Roger Friedman.  I'm still swollen but my tummy is flat and my boobs are like an 18 year olds!  Yay!

So mainly I had to go in and have the tummy tuck because of the way my stomach ended up after my two C sections.  I won't go into details because I find them embarrassing but I will say that I'm really happy to have it corrected.

Recovery is slow and more tender than anything.  They squeeze you into this post surgery garment that makes you feel like you are living with a permanent vise wrapped around your body but that is to help shape your figure while the swelling goes away.  I can deal with it.  So....soon I'll post pics for you though they will NOT be naked.  :)

Oh, and if you are a woman and have ever considered just having a breast lift and not having anything added...do it.  I felt no pain with that at any point in time.  It was the easiest of the procedures to deal with.  It was nada.  That's about all!

The dog didn't work out. :(

If anyone wants a sweetheart of a dog and does NOT have cats then I have a great dog for you.  He is at the HART90 website under Puppy - Toby 2.  I love this dog.  He's such a sweetie and I wish we could have kept him.  He has a little bit of terrier in him though and that translated into a total fixation on my cats.  He would whine and bark at them for hours because he could not understand why they would not play with him.  So we had to give him back and I'm looking now at the prospect of starting with a puppy.  I was hoping not to because of the whole housetraining thing but oh well. I'll commit to it.

So that's where we are at with the doggie situation.

New dog is stressing me out

So we got a new dog from the Hart rescue group. His name is Toby and he's really cute. He's housetrained and knows basic commands for the most part.  He does well on a leash though he doesn't heel or anything like that.   He's a great dog in so many ways.  We enjoyed a really good day with him but only for one reason....my cats stayed holed up in our bedroom.  The minute Toby sees a cat he goes insane.  He hasn't out and out attacked them but he harrasses them and barks and whines and is obsessive.  We put up a gate at the bottom of the stairs and twice he's just jumped right over it.  Once with a large box in front of it!  The cats hate him and I feel bad that they feel like hostages in their own home.  I tried everything I could think of to distract the dog but he loses interest in everything except the cats once he's seen one.  I'm actually physically tired from trying to hold him back for the past two hours so the cats could come downstairs.  We finally had to crate him and shut a door to that room.  I wish we didn't have to.  So I'm stressed out that this might not work even though he's a such a great dog.  I'm going to call a dog trainer out and see what they think.  If this is a behavior that can ultimately be changed or not.  *sigh*

Look! Look! I'm updating my blog! lol

So I talked to Kelly today and she asked me if I was ever going to update my blog.  Yeah, I know, I've been a slacker.  It just seems that there are always a zillion things to do and not much time to sit and blog.  Anyway...here's how things have been for me and mine.

Christmas was fine.  It was a strange year for me.  I feel like it came up so fast that I barely had time to prepare for it.  I don't think I listened to hardly any Christmas music or did anything especially Christmasy.  Christmas day was fun and the boys had a blast.  They got too much per usual and that's okay because I have stopped buying them toys in between birthdays and Christmas.  I received wonderful gifts and was very surprised.  Mat got me a jewelry armoire, jewelry, a Felix the Cat clock that is awesome, a Felix DVD set, and the sweetest gift was a book that he had made that stars me as the main character.  He is cast as my love of course.  :)  It was so thoughtful and sweet.  He gets really really big wifey credit for that one.  :)  I got him Rosetta Stone for Hebrew, a powerdriver and drill set, and some other small things.  He seemed really happy with them.  I hope he was.

Our New Years was fine.  We went to the neighbors who had a "Can't stay up till Midnight" party.  I got really drunk.  I only had to walk next door to get home so it was no biggie.  Mat had a pretty hardcore buzz going on too.  We were home at 10:30ish and stayed up to watch the ball drop.  We were in bed by 12:05.  hehe  We are such party animals!

So I've lost a total of 47lbs.  I have decided to have a tummy tuck and boob lift.  I'm scheduled for February 2nd.  Originally the days they had available were January 29th which is my son Adam's birthday or February 12th.  I'm a little superstitious about both of those days actually because if something went terribly wrong (which it won't) then my son's birthday would forever be ruined and as for Feb 12th...that's the day my mom went into the hospital that started her fateful decline.  So I rejected both days and they came up with the 2nd.  Fine by me!  I have no superstitions attached to those days.  I'm so excited and at the same time extremely nervous about the pain I'll be in for the few weeks afterwards.  I know having kids is hard on a woman's body but I was shocked when the doctor marked where my nipple was actually supposed to be sitting!  It was like 2 1/2 inches higher!  I was appalled.  I always thought I have pretty nice boobs.  lol  So anyway, they are going to be put back where they are suppsed to be and my tummy is going to be fixed along with a bit of lipo here and there.  It should be an interesting experience.

What else is going on?  Oh, we are thinking of getting Adam a dog for his birthday.  The kid adores dogs and I feel bad if I deny him that whole boy and his dog experience.  I want to train the dog to sleep in his bed and am hoping that it really gets attached to him.  I'm excited too of course.  I don't think I want a puppy that I have to housetrain.  I won't be up for it with my surgery and all.

So that's all for now.  I'd write about my brother but his baby isn't here yet.  Any day now.  I'm excited to have a nephew from him.  He's going to be a great Dad and Jill (his wife) is going to be an awesome Mom.

That's about all.  :)  I'll try to be better about posting.  No promises though.

    Trees! Glorious trees!

We have lived in our house for over 8 years now and until yesterday our backyard remained a big empty slate.  I hated it but never knew quite where to start or what to do.  Yesterday was a big day not only because of the election but because Meadows Farms Nursery came out and planted trees!  Lots of nice trees!  It's so wonderful and makes me so happy!  I can't wait till the spring now to see some of them bloom and get all green!  Yay for trees!IMG_3172IMG_3173IMG_3174IMG_3175IMG_3176IMG_3177

    Our Halloween

Okay, just to catch up anyone who is interested...  :P  Our Halloween was okay.  It wasn't glorious or anything but I guess we can't complain.  I was really bummed out because I wanted to have a big Halloween party this year but all my decorations and stuff were tucked away in storage and I tried to find them in the mess but couldn't.  So all I got to decorate with this year was one carved pumpkin.  If you know me you would understand how depressing that is for me.  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I love to go overboard with it.  We just walked the neighborhood but I think it will be the last year we do that.  I don't know if it was the economy or what but more houses than ever had their lights off.  I think it may be time to switch to the local community Halloween parties.

Sam went as a skeleton this year and Adam went as a dragon.  Note to self:  Don't let the boys dress up with anything that has a mask to it.  Sam's glasses got in the way of him wearing the mask alot.  Adam didn't have a mask and was fine.

So all in all..it was and okay Halloween.  :)

    I so hate bad vision!

So yesterday we were walking home from the busstop.  Adam was in front of us on his big wheel and I was walking and talking with Sam about his day.  I get near the house and I see Adam up on the porch crying.  I didn't see his bigwheel so I hollered to him where was it.  The neighbors girls said, "here it is!"   It was behind a bush.  So I go up to the porch and ask Adam why he's crying and I see why.  He's holding his glasses with one missing lens.  I ask him where it was and he said, "I don't know!"  Eventually I got it out of him that it fell out and he picked it up and tried to put it back in but dropped it again somewhere in the grass.  So I spent an hour and 15 minutes combing the grass.  Sam was on his hands and knees looking and Adam was just an annoying little brat and was running around and picking at Sam.  I only had that hour and 15 minutes because I had to go meet my Dad so we could go out and celebrate Leanne's 18th birthday.  So I didn't find it and was totally frustrated.

Today I went out this morning hoping the dew would help, maybee reflect off of it.  Nope.  I raked the entire freaking lawn and nothing!  And that's not a fun job!  It seems that this lens has just up and disappeared.  After trying over and over and over to find it I finally conceded defeat and called the eye doc to replace the stupid thing.  They can't replace just one because it was a transitional lens and they have to be done at the same time.  So I ended up shelling out $375 for new lenses.  (cry)  And that was without the trasitional lens!  With that it would have been more!  They don't cover lost lenses and my insurance only pays for one set a year.  I'm so not happy about this that I want to scream.

It is so unfair that you are basically punished for having bad eyes.  Glasses should not ever cost this much.  Even top of the line ones!  I think it's just insane.  Unfortunately the kid has got to have them so I have no choice but to pay for them.  I'm so not happy.

    Happy Birthday Pap Pap!

My Pap Pap is 81 today!  Happy Birthday Pap Pap!

    Happy Birthday Leanne!

Wow, I can't believe that my little sister is 18!  It's crazy how fast time goes by.  Happy Birthday Leanne!  I love ya!

Been watching too much Ghost Hunters..but still...

Okay, I have to say that last night was one of the strangest nights I've had.  Mat and I both went to bed at around 10:00.  I think he was in bed and snoozing at 10:05 but I was still up washing my face and brushing my teeth.  I happened to glance up and saw that Mat had left the top light on in the bedroom and was asleep and I felt bad so I dried my face and went out and turned it off then went and brushed my teeth.  I guess I climbed into bed at 10:20ish.  Well, right around midnight I was jolted awake and remember reacting more than thinking.  I woke Mat up I'm sure because I yelled either, "What the hell?!?! or What the F!@k?!?!"  I'm honestly not even sure which.

    .......

Our bedroom light turned on by itself.  I don't know what, why, how....   Mat thinks that I must have gotten up and turned it on at some point but I don't think so at all and if I did then I was completely sleepwalking and then why was I jolted like that?  Before I could even fully wake up?  Right away I hopped out of bed and ran to the boys rooms thinking one of them did it but they were fast asleep and I did check to make sure they weren't faking.    I know for sure that I turned the light off earlier because of that whole feeling bad for having Mat sleep in a lit up room thing.

I dunno...very strange...very very strange.  I didn't sleep well at all after that!  I felt on edge all night.

    spooky!  LOL

    Deep Creek is Awesome!

Well, we got back from Deep Creek, MD on Saturday.  I have to say, I totally fell in love with the place.  We were off to a rocky start when we got there with the first house we were at.  Finn McCool's is probably okay for your average non allergenic person but I'm highly allergic and asthmatic on top of that.  Mat's mom is also allergic and you could just smell the dampness in that house.  It definitely has some mold issues.  It also was just not the nicest place in the world.  I felt like I was camping to be honest.  The bathroom gave me the willies and I didn't even shower that night like I had planned to.  The only nice thing about the place was that you could walk down behind the house and be on the lake.  That was cool.

We woke up on Sunday morning and Mat's poor mom looked terrible from barely being able to breathe.  Her allergies were kicked into high gear and you could just tell that she was miserable.  So Mat and Bill went to the rental agency and looked at two other rental places for us to choose from.  The place they picked was just a dream.  It is a town house up on Wisp Mountain and it is gorgeous.  It's like 3400 sq feet!  So we gathered up our stuff as fast as we could and high tailed it away from Finn McMold's...I mean McCools...hehehe.  We spent the rest of the day just recuperating because by that time we were all sort of sneezing and not feeling well.  The new place was so great though that it was no problem to just hang out there.

Monday we got up, had breakfast and went out boating.  We rented a pontoon boat and it was awesome!  There was a shaded part and room to walk around in and Mat and Bill had a great time driving it around.  We had rented it until 5 p.m.  We stopped in the afternoon and bought a raft to trail out behind the boat and that was alot of fun.  We bounced around behind the boat.  It was great.  It's so relaxing and enjoyable.  I didn't get seasick or anything so that was good and I loved it!  Everyone seemed to love it.  I think it was around 4 p.m., right when I wanted to go for a lake swim of course, when it started to rain.  So I didn't get my swim but we hightailed the boat back to dock and called it a day.  It was great.  I can't wait to do it again.

The next day Mat and Bill went out on some of those water jet things...I think he calls them seadoos or something..hehehe.  I went with my MIL and the boys to the pool.  It was very nice but small.  It is for the local community there and not a public pool so that was nice.  The area by the pool is really pretty.  They have built a covered pavillion area where you could even put a fire in a couple of the fireplaces there if you wanted to and lots of tables and nice bathrooms.  They also have nice walking trails and a playground area.  It's also cooler up in Deep Creek so you aren't frying your butt off like you would be here at home.  I went out to water my tomatoes a little while ago and it is hot!  Anyway, after that we went home and either relaxed and cooked there or went out.  We ate at some very yummy restaurants but I'm not sure of which days were which.  I think that was also the night we ended up all watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the theater room.

On Wednesday we went to this place at the bottom of Wisp Mountain that has doom buggies.  I've no idea if I spelled that right..hehe  It was something that I wanted to do along with the mountain coaster they have.  Right before we got there it had rained.  Mat and I still suited up in their gigantic coveralls and went anyway.  It was hilarious.  The trails were covered in mud and by the time we got off we were covered in it.  I mean drenched.  They had these goggles for you to wear and when I took them off it looked like I had a beard from all the mud!  lol  The coveralls were not plastic or rubber or anything so our clothes still got soaked through and I ruined one good shirt that day.  It was totally worth it.  I didn't get to  go on the mountain coaster but Bill took the boys.  Sam loved it and Adam hated it.  It's basically just carts on a track at the top of the mountain and you roll down them by gravity alone.  I think there is a brake on it which you can slow it down with but I wasn't there to test it out.  Next time I definitely will.

Thursday we went white water rafting at the man made course on Wisp Mountain.  It is the first and only of it's kind and it's really cool.  We took Sam but he was too young to paddle so we put him in the middle where he was least likely to fall out.  My MIL stayed with Adam and they watched a movie.  Now let me tell you this...it may be man made but those currents are by no means gentle!  Of course it was my luck that at nearly the end of the day the raft got bounced pretty hard and sent me flying out into the rapids.  It was pretty scary to be honest.  I'm not a strong swimmer to start with.  You are required to wear a life vest and helmet though.  Well, when in the water my life vest came up past my chin and my helmet kept sliding down over my eyes.  I couldn't see to know where to swim and I had sucked in water so I was sputtering trying to catch my breath.  They have people there to help you and he did pull me in with a paddle.  He kept talking to me and asked me questions but I couldn't talk because I couldn't catch my breath.  After about three times of trying to make some sort of reply the guy laughs and goes, "You can't talk, Can you?"  Yeah, yeah...thanks alot asshole..very funny.  So, my recommendation to you if you go and if I ever go again....make sure your life vest is TIGHT so that it doesn't ride up over your face and under no circumstances wear a ball cap under your helmet which is why mine kept slipping.  Would I do it again...yes..I think I would.  Despite the falling out...I think if the vest and helmet weren't like that I would have been fine.  Would I take Sam again...hell no.  I thank God now that the raft didn't flip.  I wouldn't want him to go under in those rapids.  The mere thought of it now terrifies me.  One annoying point of the trip is that we got stuck with two other little boys who I would say were about 9 and 11.  Their grandparents brought them and let them do it.  Assholes.  That meant it was only Mat, Bill and I paddling because those boys were more of a hindrance than help.  Then the younger one had the audacity to make ask some snide questions after I fell out.  Like how many people fall in usually.  Like I was some pain in the butt or something.  Everyone then reminded him that Mat had saved his butt once and another time I grabbed his brother and saved him.  Brat.  I'm sure it would have been alot more fun with a couple more adults to help paddle.

After that we were all pretty tired and just relaxed for the rest of the day.  I forgot to mention that at one point during the rafting my hip/butt muscle cramped up so bad.  And you can't do anything about it!  Stretch your leg out and you most likely will be in the water.  I had to just sit through it.  And all I could think of was the Spongebob episode where Patrick gets a butt cramp!  Hahahahaha!

The next day was my MIL's birthday and we went for a massage.  It was super nice.  The lady worked on the area that had cramped up and was sore but didn't completely get rid of it.  I was disappointed about that but sometimes you just can't massage out an achy spot.  I had a pedicure and Mat's Mom got a massage and facial.  It was really great.  While we were doing that Mat and Bill took the boys out and rented a speed boat.  They said that they enjoyed it but that it was very bouncy and the pontoon boat was much nicer.  We had a great dinner that night at a place called Will O' the Wisp and they had made a cake specifically for Mom's Birthday.  It was really tasty!  He did a super great job.

The next day we packed up and headed out.  On the way home we saw that this truck had tipped it's trailer or something and it backed traffic up on the other side for what I'm sure was hours.  The line of traffic was staggering.  All sitting there dead stop.  I felt so bad for them and so grateful that we had a smooth trip.

Now we are back to the daily grind.  I just got Adam home from his day camp.  He played water games today and was all wet.  I had him take his bathing suit off and he proudly sticks his leg out and goes, "See Mom!  Isn't my leg getting fat!"  I tried and tried to get him to see that it wasn't but he was so proud and insistent that his leg was fat!  LMAO!  It is soooo not fat.  I wish everyone thought fat legs were so great!  Hahahahaha!

    July 22

    Back from Minnesota

Well, as the title states, we are back from Minnesota.  We went to visit my Brother and my Sister in Law.  It was great.  We had a blast.  If I could have changed anything it would have been that Jill (my SIL) didn't feel bad at the end of the trip.  She ended up staying home to rest and I felt bad leaving her there all by herself while we went to the zoo.

The kids had a blast.  Uncle Dwayne rented some games for his Wii and let them play them.  Sam loved the Wiiski game and Adam loved Wall-e.  Dwayne and Jill hve a dog named Jackson that they shorten to Jack.  In the first few days the boys were shrieking every time he came around them.  But they eventually got used to him and Adam fell in love with him.  He would not leave the dog alone.  It was funny because the way he says Jack is "Shaq".  hehe.  All day long you heard, "Shaq!  Hey Shaq!  C'mere Shaq!"   He told me in the car yesterday that he wanted to get a dog just like Jack, that looks the same and acts the same and we can name him Jack.  Hehe!  The problem with that is that Adam is allergic to dogs as we found out.  He broke out in hives and I had to give him claritin the whole time we were there.  That sucks because Adam adores dogs.  He absolutely loves them.

We went to see "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" at the children's theater there.  It was great!  Very funny and very well done.  The boys loved it.  We also went to the Mill City Museum that day.  http://www.millcitymuseum.org/  That place is awesome!  I really really enjoyed it!  Did you know that flour dust can be as explosive as gun powder?  I had no idea.  They also had the coolest presentation I'd ever seen that was given in an elevator with seats.  They had tons of stuff for the kids to do such as a big big puzzle made out of like..wooden box seats?  And a water room that teaches how the lumber mills work and an area where you can help bake bread and lots of other stuff.  If you are ever in Minneapolis then I definitely recommend it!

One night we went to Dave and Busters and the boys had a great time.  We were there much later than I intended but the boys were having so much fun.  They ended up only cashing out about half of their tickets which still amazes me.  I left the points on the cards for Dwayne and Jill to use some other time.

We took the boys to the Mall of America and I ended up taking them on the rides in the amusement park there.  It's never much fun for me to do that but the boys had a blast and that's what matters to me.

Yesterday we went to the Minnesota Zoo.  It was great.  The kids had a blast and so did I.  I love zoos.  It's a smaller zoo if you compare it to the National Zoo but it was really geared towards kids.  They had a playground, a farm with a petting zoo and one of those tunnel type play areas made into a grain silo type of thing.  They had a sand area which I have to say that we avoided by rushing them past to the bears...hehe.  They also had a water play area  and tunnels by the meerkat exhibit so the kids could stick their heads right up there in the exhibit and I think that is so cool.  They had a good variety of animals but I think the boys enjoyed the grizzly bears the most because the exhibit is well done and the boys got to see him eat and swim right up close.  They were spell bound.  I also got to see some animals that I had never seen before such as a tree kangaroo.  Those things are so freaking adorable!  I seriously want one!  lol  They had nice big cat exhibits too.  I'll post some pictures.

I got up at 3 a.m. this morning to get ready to leave.  Ouch!  The boys did not want to get up.  We made it through the airport with no problems at all and the flight home was fine if a little bumpy.  The boys watched Charlie and the Chocolate factory on the portable DVD player.  It was not as comfortable as on the way there because on that flight, Mat had upgraded us to first class and it was so much better.  This morning the flight was packed and there were no upgrades available.  We were in the seats that were one away from the very back of the plane.  That sucks.  hehe  I'm home now and I'm just exhausted.  I'm looking forward to sleeping tonight.  I miss Dwayne, Jill and Jack though.  I hope it's not too long before I see them again.  :)

    July 09

    typical days

I haven't been keeping up with my blog lately.  I go through these moods when I really do well with it and then where I write nothing at all for a while.

My niece was born yesterday.  Mat's brother Josh and his wife Megan had a baby girl.  7 lbs 11 oz which is easy to remember for me because that's exactly what Adam weighed.  They named her Elizabeth.  I don't know the middle name yet.  Anyway...Happy Birthday to Elizabeth Newfield.

I've been working on starting up a business of making Diaper Cakes, Wreaths and bears.  I am waiting to hear back from a fellow that is supposed to be making me a webpage and possibly a logo.  I have some of my products made up and I guess the next step is to take them to some local shops and try to market them to them.  I'm also trying to decide whether I want to sell through Craigslist, Ebay or just a website.  I think I should also go get a business license soon and really make it official.  If this takes off and really goes somewhere I'll have Kelly to thank!  hehe

The boys are being themselves.  Annoying me by fighting and bickering.  Uggghhh.  I am really not a fan of the summertime.  Hahaha!  In a few weeks I will take the boys to MN to see my brother.  I'm excited about it but I'm also nervous.  I'm not really used to traveling by myself at all.  I'm sure I'll be a nervous wreck.  Plus I worry about the length of time we are staying because Adam was ready to come home from the beach after two days.  I hope he'll be okay for a longer stay.

Sam is in summer camps but I let him stay home here and there.  He is home today because it's gray and rainy and he wouldn't be able to swim anyway.  Then I regret it though because they fight.  Adam is supposed to be in camps too but they keep getting canceled because not enough kids sign up.  I'm really annoed by that because I could really use a break from both of them.

Other than that there's not much going on.  Typical day here at home.  I clean up and the kids mess up and I want to pull my hair out.  hehe
    June 26

    Got to visit Kelly today!

So today I took my Mini and drove out to visit Kelly.  She lives about 1 1/2 - 2 hours away.  It was a really nice drive the whole way.  The sun was shining and the mountains were so pretty.  Then I got to meet Aidan for the first time.  He's such a sweet little bundle of cuddles!  He's so cute!  I love all the little baby snorts and grunts and the baby smell and the way they love to snuggle.  So sweet!

My boys were not being very good.  At one point Adam just walked up and opened Kelly's fridge!  I sooooo don't allow that crap!  Then, lately Sam has been into potty talk and I constantly have to get onto him about saying poop and stuff like that.  It's driving me nuts!  So I didn't stay as long as I would have liked but I did get to visit for a good 3 1/2 hours.  It's always good to see Kelly.  :)

Love ya girl!  Your new boy is as cute as the first two!  You done did good!  lol

    Best Birthday Evah!

Woot!  For my birthday this year my hubby went above and beyond and got me...a car!  A freaking car!  lol  I was so giddy to get it and I'm still so excited!  I got a black 2005 Mini Cooper convertible!  It's so cute and small and adorable.  And it's fun to drive around in!  And it gets 35 mpg!   I'm really going to do Maggie up right now that I don't have to put a bunch of miles on her.

I still adore my Magnum.  It's a great car.  I LOOOOVE It!  And I love my mini too!  Yay!

Thank you Mat!  I LOOOOOOOVE You more than anything!

    Busy couple of days

It's been a busy couple of days for me.  Yesterday I went to the school and saw Sam perform in his class play.  It was so cute and they all did a great job.  I'll post some pictures on here for you.

Today we had Adam's end of the (pre)school year party at a local kiddie water park.  It was great and so perfect.  The kids had a blast and it's not yet open to the public so it was just the preschool kids there.  I'll never get that opportunity again I'm sure.  That place is packed once it opens in the summer.

The only downside to this week has been this chest cold.  I guess that's what it is.  I basically cough alot but there's no other really bad symptoms to go with it.  The coughing is super annoying though.

    Anyway..that's just my update.

Congrats to Kelly on the birth of her beautiful baby boy, Aidan!

Drove to NJ and back today!

Well, I'm excited.  We drove to New Jersey today to a body shop called 402 Motoring.  They do custom work.  They are going to paint some rockin' stripes on my 2006 Inferno Red Magnum.  Mat is having this done for me for my Birthday.  I'm also getting a cold air intake and exhaust redo that is going to give my car a real throaty sound.  And I'm getting 20" Zinik z20 rims.  BLING!  lol

It was a nice drive though it made for a long day.  I got to spend time with Mat and that was nice.  The weather was hot!  We just kept the AC on and everything was fine.  The owners of 402 Motoring are super nice.  Their names are Ernie and Lori.  They have a son, Joe who has a kick a#$ charger.  We drove a rental car home.  It was a Ford Freestyle.  Not a bad car overall.  It was a SUV but didn't feel big or bulky at all to me.  I definitely noticed the difference in the power of the thing though.  It had no get up and go.  I guess once you go Hemi you never go back.  I tried to think of a witty rhyme there but it wasn't happening.  lol  Still, my Maggie rocks.  I love that car so much.  hehe

I think that if I love this car this much that Dodge is making a serious mistake in killing the line.  After all...I'm a suburban housewife for crying out loud.  If it appeals to me then it is a kick ass car.  I've driven the minivans and SUV's and this car kicks all of their butts.  Plus I love how even little boys stop and point at my car and make their parents look!  That just kills me!  lol

Anyway, I have no car for two weeks.  That sucks.  I'm looking forward to getting her back already.

    Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!  And to my Mama in Heaven...Happy Birthday Mom!  I miss you like crazy!

I had a great Mother's Day!  Yesterday we had dinner at my MIL's house and then they kept the boys overnight!  The boys had a blast and we had an evening off.  Not that we did much but it was still nice and quiet.  We went over for brunch today and Sam had made me the cutest stuff.  I had already gotten Adam's stuff on Friday at a Mother's Day luncheon.  He made me some cute craft type flowers and a picture of a butterfly using his handprints.  I adore those types of things and I'm going to frame it.  Sam made me this great picture using fingerprints for flower petals in a vase and with a cute poem.  He also made me a booklet with drawings about how he loves me!  I love that stuff!  I eat it up!  My mother in law made a cute book with the boys last night that has a really cute picture of the family on the front.  And then!.....Mat and the boys gave me a locket from Tiffany's that says Mom on it and it has the boys pictures in it!  I adore it!  I've always wanted one!  :D

The only stinky thing about today is all the rain.  Maybee all the moms in Heaven are crying because they can't be with us.  That's really a sad way to think isn't it?  I'm not trying to be depressing though.  I'm not sad today even though I do miss my mom.

I decided not to write any more about my crazy week last week because it was all negative and I'm tired of it and want to put it behind me.  :)

I guess that's all thats going on.  Happy Mother's Day!

    One of those weeks..

Man almighty!  I am having one of those weeks!  One where nothing seems to go the way it should or the way you planned.  I'm just exhausted and frustrated as all get out!  I had such a great time last week with my brother here and I guess I should write about that first.

Dwayne and Jill got in late on Saturday night so we just relaxed on Sunday.  Monday we went to Luray Caverns.  We only took Adam because Sam had school and he was just there last year so he's seen it.  The caverns are always neat but I was a little bored the second time around.  I think I should try the Skyline Caverns next.  It is a bit freaky when they turn out ALL the lights for a minute so you can experience true cave darkness.  You cannot even see your hand in front of your face.  It's totally freaky.  We went into this little car museum that was free right next to it and I was delighted to see that they had horse drawn carriages and wagons and really old stuff up until about the 1940's.  It was great.  I couldn't find my digital camera that morning so I grabbed this disposable that I hadn't used and the pictures all came out horrible.  I'm not happy about that at all but what can you do.  I'm definitely addicted to my digital camera.

Tuesday we just hung out and ate at some of Dwayne's favorite spots such as Tony's.  I can't remember exactly what places we ate at on which days because my brain is fried right now but you get the idea.

Wednesday we got up really early and took the local train into D.C.  That was a great but crazy day.  Everyone in D.C. thinks they have the right to tell you how to do things.  We had this woman bitch at us for not staying to the right side on the escalator if we were not going to keep walking up it.  Hello!  Bitch!  I had a four year old beside me and a 7 year old in front.  I don't care what you "DO" in DC...freaking bite me!  Then we get to Union Station and it was all hustle and bustle and I was trying to get a look around at this food place to figure out where the hell you order and this guy barks at me that the back of the line is over here!  I was like, "God you people suck!"  lol  Then this homeless lady started shrieking at Sam for touching the escalator...lol!  It was crazy.  After we got out of Union Station it was better.  We went to the Smithsonian..the history one, The Air and Space Museum, A tiny bit of the smithsonian art  museum and generally walked out asses off.  It was a good day but by the time we got home we were exhausted!

Did I mention that Sam came home early from school on Monday for coughing.  Oh yeah, and he didn't go back for the rest of the week.  I tried to send him on Friday but they sent him home for taking an exorbitantly long time to take a crap!  Hahahahahaha  Whatever...

Where was I?  Oh, yeah...on Thursday I think we chilled out and then got Thai for dinner...yummy.  On Friday Dwayne went out with some friends and then on Saturday we went to Kings Domion.  That was really fun.  I had a great time.  Some of those rollercoasters that they have now are freaking nuts!  I'll post pictures of the visit here soon.

Now...for my "Dear God is it over yet?" week.

I can't remember Monday being anything terrible...maybee it will come to me. lol  Tuesday I got Sam off to school then had to have my cat Bailey at a cat cardiologist at 10:30.  Drive all the way there in awful traffic to find that the office had been moved.  Luckily it wasn't too far.  So I take him there and find out that he has a genetic form of late onset heart disease.  He needs to take heart medications for the rest of his..hopefully rather long...life.  He is 10 and I'd like to keep him around for a while.  That set us back $500.  Yep..ouch  Next time I think I'm going to walk in and ask for some complimentary lube.  (If you know what I mean.)

I get back and go get my hair done.  I hate it.  It is too short for what I like.  I like longer hair and it's now cut above my shoulders...sucks.  Plus..it's way too blond..and not even a great blond in my opinion.  It's like a yellowy blond that just doesn't look that great or natural imo.  I think that the woman I go to let me overprocess or something.  She took care of two people while I was processing!  I hate that.  I'd like to have the entire time devoted to me so I feel like I'm truly being taken care of and not up for some mishap because she wasn't paying attention.  So now I have to go back and hope that we can somehow fix it.  I don't like it at all.

Yesterday I get the boys off to school and then it's off to the sadist..I mean Dentist.  It was just for delivery of my crown which should be relatively painless right?  The stupid assistant was a total blockhead.  She takes these little metal tong tooth gripper things and starts yanking on my temporary.  I'm like, "OW!"  So she stops and says how it's on there really good and then tries again..."OW!"  She gives me a minute and does it again so I say, "OW, That really hurts!"  Then the stupid idiot asks me if I know if they used a permanent cement on it.  I said, "I don't know what they did!"  How the hell am I supposed to know what freaking type of sticky stuff they put in there.  What a dumbass!  I said it in this really shitty tone too because I was irritated.  lol  Then the dentist comes in and numbs me up.  He was gentle because I told him he got needle happy last time and I was sore for an entire week!  lol  I said it jokingly though because he is the sadist after all.  It took like an hour and 20 minutes to get out of there.  I was not happy.  So I go get Adam and head to Walmart for the cat's prescription.  They say 15 minutes so I go shop a bit and go to pick up those photos that suck anyway.  They weren't in yet..come back tonight.  Then the prescription wasn't ready so I got frustrated and left.

After that Sam got home and it was off to Tae Kwon Do.  Okay so Adam's was 5-5:45 and Sams was at 6:30 so I figured we would eat in between at the place next door.  I ordered a chicken souvlaki (gyro basically), Adam ordered a slice of pizza and all Sam ordered was a footlong hotdog.  Now here is the part where just like my week...things suck... Sam got his hot dog at....6:25.  I was pissed.  It takes like a minute to cook a hot dog and I let her know at 6:10 that he had class starting really soon.  He got like two bites and then had to run.  Then they added this extra thing at the end of Tae Kwon Do for num chuk practice.  I still needed to go to Walmart so I was frustrated.  I ran the boys home and went to Wal Mart.  Bailey's medicine is only $8.  Thank God for small miracles.  The pictures sucked and that didn't make me too happy.  I get up to the check out lines and there are alot of them open.  So I got to the end where there is only one person ahead of me.  The stupid mom walks off and leaves her daughter standing there.  After a minute I get frustrated and move to the next line over with just one person in front of me.  Then that stupid woman goes.."there's a problem.  The first time you rang everything up it was only $89." and proceeded to start everything over again.  So I move over and finally that line was okay but I was starting to feel a bit postal.  lol

I will write about today tommorrow I think because my novel here is quite large.  Sorry!
